Message from:

THE FOUNDER AND VICE PRESIDENT

“Starz Foundation, Inc was started as a platform to serve my community. It is my desire to live an abundant life of purpose and to empower at-risk women who may not have the same academic opportunities as me.”
Candace Rojas, Founder
“Leadership, to me, is about empowering others and creating new leaders who make a difference in their own life, and then continue to impact the community. My family has taught me the importance of giving back to society and taking time to assist others in need. As a result of decades of volunteering along side my parents at church, school and in my community, I have witnessed countless women in distress with various socio-economic complexities, such as raising children as a single mother, working two jobs with lack of affordable housing. I have watched women face homelessness and I have also seen women recover and become success stories as a result of finding good mentors and caring community partners to guide them to discover self-sufficiency.”
